Eiffel Tower Viewing Deck

The Eiffel Tower, an iron lattice structure designed by Maurice Koechlin and Émile Nouguier and built by Gustave Eiffel's company for the 1889 World's Fair, has become a global cultural icon. Initially criticized by some artists and intellectuals, it is now one of the most recognizable landmarks in the world.

The tower offers three visitor levels, with restaurants on the first and second. The climb from ground to top involves over 600 steps, but lifts are available for a quicker ascent. The top level features a public observation deck and a private apartment built for Gustave Eiffel, furnished by Jean Lachaise and once visited by Thomas Edison.

A UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1991, the Eiffel Tower attracts millions of visitors each year, making it one of the most visited monuments in the world.
