Latin Grammy Award winner Nestor Torres brings his virtuosic flute to Portland's Jack London Revue. A Puerto Rican flautist trained at Berklee College of Music and the New England Conservatory, Torres blends Latin jazz, pop, straight-ahead jazz, and classical styles into a seamless, exotic mix.
His career includes collaborations with Herbie Hancock, Tito Puente, Gloria Estefan, and Dave Matthews, as well as performances with symphony orchestras including The New World and Cleveland. With 18 CDs and multiple Grammy nominations, Torres delivers an evening of sophisticated, genre-crossing music in an intimate club setting.
