Dax
Dax is the stage name of Daniel Nwosu Jr., a Canadian rapper born 22 March 1994 in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, to Nigerian immigrant parents, and raised largely in Ottawa. A former college basketball player at Casper College and Newman University, he began writing rap verses while working as a campus janitor, after a teammate praised his poetry and sparked a switch from sports to songwriting.

Über Dax
He built an audience on SoundCloud from 2016 onward, gaining wider attention through the video for 'Cash Me Outside' featuring Bhad Bhabie. His 2022 single 'Dear Alcohol' was certified platinum in both the United States and Canada, and his 2023 collaboration with Darius Rucker, 'To Be a Man,' topped Billboard's Country Digital Song Sales chart, reflecting his crossover between hip-hop and country audiences.
Dax describes himself as a conscious rapper whose lyrics often address mental health, faith and personal struggle, drawing comparisons to Tech N9ne and Eminem for his rapid delivery. His debut album, Pain Paints Paintings, arrived in 2021, followed by From a Man's Perspective in December 2024.
In 2024 Dax co-headlined a run of shows with Joyner Lucas and performed at several U.S. state fairs, before launching his own headlining Lonely Dirt Road Tour across North America in late 2025, continuing to release new material alongside his live schedule.
