Über Home Alone in Concert

The film follows eight-year-old Kevin McCallister, played by Macaulay Culkin, who is accidentally left behind when his family departs for a Christmas trip and must defend the family home from two bumbling burglars played by Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern, with Catherine O'Hara and John Candy also starring. Williams' score received Academy Award nominations for Best Original Score and Best Original Song, 'Somewhere in My Memory.'

A performance runs close to two hours including the film's roughly 100-minute runtime, with about an hour of live orchestral music drawn from a full complement of strings, woodwinds, brass, percussion, harp, piano and organ plus an SATB chorus. The concert format debuted in 2013 and has since become a recurring holiday-season attraction, staged by orchestras including the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Detroit Symphony Orchestra and New Jersey Symphony.
