Joss Stone
Joss Stone signed her first record deal as a teenager growing up in Dover, Kent, and released her debut album, The Soul Sessions, in 2003 at the age of sixteen. Built around soul and R&B covers, it reached the UK top five and a Mercury Prize shortlist nomination, and was followed by the chart-topping Mind Body & Soul the following year.

Über Joss Stone
Her voice, often described as a mezzo-soprano with a contralto range, has carried albums into reggae as well as soul, including the reggae-influenced Water for Your Soul. She has won a Grammy and two Brit Awards, and often performs barefoot on stage.
