Metallica
Metallica is an American heavy metal band formed in Los Angeles in 1981 by drummer Lars Ulrich and singer-guitarist James Hetfield. One of the "Big Four" of thrash metal, they helped define the genre with the speed and aggression of early albums like "Ride the Lightning" and "Master of Puppets".

Their 1991 self-titled "Black Album", home to "Enter Sandman" and "Nothing Else Matters", became one of the best-selling records of all time and pushed the band into stadiums worldwide. Metallica have sold more than 125 million records and won nine Grammy Awards, and their tours remain among the biggest in rock.
