The Truth is a 2011 stage comedy by French playwright Florian Zeller, originally staged in Paris as La Verite at the Theatre Montparnasse, directed by Patrice Kerbrat and starring Pierre Arditi. The English-language version was translated by Christopher Hampton.

Über The Truth
The play follows two couples, Michel and Laurence and Michel's friend Paul and his wife Alice, whose lives become entangled through Michel's affair with Alice, unfolding through witty, non-linear dialogue that examines self-deception and hidden truths. The English translation opened at London's Menier Chocolate Factory in 2016, directed by Lindsay Posner and starring Alexander Hanson, before transferring to Wyndham's Theatre in the West End.
