In the heart of Madrid's Orcasur neighbourhood, the Biblioteca Municipal Gabriel García Márquez hosts a community workshop that turns everyday objects into a shared archive. Over four sessions, neighbours are invited to bring photographs, documents, and keepsakes that hold personal and collective memories. Together with the collective La Liminal, participants explore what these small treasures reveal about daily life and the identity of the whole barrio.

The first three sessions focus on gathering and composing these personal items into a collective archive, creating a space for encounter and co-creation around the bonds that shape Orcasur. The process culminates in a fourth session with a public exhibition, a common narrative designed to rediscover the neighbourhood through what residents decide to share. The workshop is aimed at local residents aged 12 and up, and prior registration is required.

La Liminal, founded in 2015 by Beatriz Martins Orozco and Yolanda Riquelme García, brings a background in art history, social anthropology, and artistic production. Their approach reimagines the city through walks, explorations, and workshops, reclaiming public space as a common ground. This event is part of the 21distritos programme, offering a free, participatory experience that celebrates the hidden stories of everyday life.
