Juan Sin Miedo en Villaverde

In this puppet show adapted from the Brothers Grimm classic, Juan Sin Miedo fears nothing—he takes on ghosts, the devil, and death itself without flinching. But after all his battles, the real challenge turns out to be something else entirely: confessing his fears to his beloved and daring to show his vulnerability. Through the dynamism of glove and bocón puppets, and with a careful visual and scenographic proposal, this adaptation brings a traditional story into the present, inviting children and adults to reflect on a topic that remains taboo: how brave it is to acknowledge our own fears.

The show is created by Cristian Weidmann, a stage director, actor, performer, and puppeteer known for proposals where matter, landscape, body, and visual poetry become scenic language. The performance takes place at the Centro Cultural Valdebernardo in the Vicálvaro district, as part of the 21distritos program. With free entry until capacity is reached, it's an accessible cultural outing for families and anyone interested in thoughtful, visually rich puppetry.
