X Coordenadas fest!

X Coordenadas fest! is a free activity at Centro Cultural Clara del Rey - Museo ABC (Centro) in Madrid on Saturday, 31 October 2026, 19:00. The programme features SZU Shih-Min / taboeh a Oebay tataysi and Paula Ortiz Babiloni. SZU Shih-Min presents a piece about Say Siyat Azem, Alma Saisiyat, which grows out of a ritual memory tied to prayers to the sky, sowing, harvest, the cycles of life and ceremonies of time. In its stories and mythologies, braided miscanthus in the shape of a ring appears as a symbol of a pact. The work turns this spiritual heritage into a contemporary body language, using steps passed down through generations, ritual songs, the weight of banners on the shoulders and the sound of bells at night. Through steps, turns and an intense presence, it explores the relationship between body, spirit, memory, nature and transformation. It treats the space as a living place where architecture, landscape, memory and the presence of the audience can enter into dialogue. Paula Ortiz Babiloni's piece opens with the words "Cuídame como a un gusano, por favor, que pasaré frío entre la tierra húmeda de tu jardín." It mentions a piano that no longer sounds, rumbling bellies and a disco ball in the centre of the chest. The venue is at Calle Amaniel, 29, Madrid.
