Monteverdi / Vespro at Philharmonie de Paris

Simon-Pierre Bestion and his ensemble La Tempête present a vivid reimagining of Monteverdi's 1610 Vespers, weaving together Mediterranean vocal and instrumental colors with Gregorian antiphons and 17th-century faux-bourdons. The performance, conceived as a coherent ritual, draws on the freedom of the original score to create a rich, personal interpretation.
