Alle Details lesen

This summer, the MAAT in Lisbon hosts the first solo exhibition in Portugal by French artist Céleste Boursier-Mougenot, featuring his iconic installation *From Here to Ear*. The work transforms a gallery space into a living soundscape: around twenty electric guitars are played not by human hands, but by zebra finches that perch freely on the instruments, creating an ever-changing, aleatoric composition.

Visitors are invited to walk through the room and attune their movements to those of the birds, merging two worlds in a single space. The result is a musical piece that is both random and precisely controlled, a meditation on the intersection of nature, sound, and visual art. The exhibition runs from July to August, with the museum open Wednesday through Monday.
