May I Help You? Posso Ajudar? at MAC/CCB

This new permanent exhibition at MAC/CCB takes its title from a performance by Andrea Fraser that questioned institutional relationships in the art world. Spanning five decades of artistic production from the 1970s onward, the show features works by 90 artists drawn from the museum's collections, including pieces by Jeff Koons, Kara Walker, Richard Serra, and Helena Almeida.

Visitors can explore a wide range of media—sculpture, photography, installation, and painting—with works by both international figures and Portuguese artists. The exhibition also includes new commissions from Portuguese creators, offering a fresh perspective on contemporary art.

The curatorial team, led by Nuria Enguita and Marta Mestre with advisory support from Raphael Fonseca, has arranged the galleries to encourage reflection on the role of museums in an era of fragmentation and impermanence. It's a thought-provoking journey through recent art history.
