Built to Spill, the influential indie rock band centered on guitarist and vocalist Doug Martsch, brings their ever-evolving sound to Tipitina's in New Orleans. Formed in Boise, Idaho in 1992, the band has earned critical acclaim for albums such as *There's Nothing Wrong with Love*, *Perfect from Now On*, and *Keep It Like a Secret*. Over the years, Built to Spill has toured extensively, with a rotating lineup that currently includes Teresa Esguerra on drums and Melanie Radford on bass.

The evening will feature a set from Built to Spill, known for their intricate guitar work and expansive song structures. Opening the show is Paul Schalda, a poet and musician with roots in doo-wop and soul, who has collaborated with artists like the late Charles Bradley and Adrian Quesada of the Black Pumas. His solo work, often under the moniker Paul and the Tall Trees, blends heartfelt lyrics with a classic rock and soul sensibility.
