Weezer, formed in Los Angeles and best known for the self-titled Blue Album, headline The Gathering in San Francisco. The Shins and Silversun Pickups round out a bill that leans into the melodic, guitar-driven side of alternative rock.

From the dense power-pop hooks of the Blue Album to the orchestral pop of OK Human and the harder-edged Van Weezer, Rivers Cuomo, Patrick Wilson, Brian Bell, and Scott Shriner have kept Weezer a constant presence on the alternative scene. Their catalog has shifted from polished radio singles to cult favorites and back again, all anchored by a distinctly geeky kind of songwriting.
