Steve Turre, a master trombonist and seashell virtuoso, brings his genre-blending sound to Snug Harbor Jazz Bistro. A longtime member of the Saturday Night Live Band, Turre has performed with legends like Ray Charles and Dizzy Gillespie, and his music fuses jazz with Afro-Cuban, Brazilian, and blues traditions.
For this intimate engagement, Turre is joined by two of New Orleans' finest: Grammy-winning trombonist and producer Delfeayo Marsalis, known for his work with Harry Connick Jr. and the Uptown Jazz Orchestra, and acclaimed drummer Herlin Riley, celebrated for blending New Orleans rhythms with modern jazz.
