The Toadies w/ Local H in Columbus

Fort Worth, Texas rock band Toadies formed in 1989 and became '90s alternative radio staples on the strength of "Possum Kingdom," a hit single from their platinum-certified 1994 debut Rubberneck named for a North Texas lake and built on Texas folklore. After disbanding in 2001, the band reformed in 2006 and has continued releasing new material, including 2026's The Charmer. Joining them in Columbus on August 17, 2026 is Local H, the Zion, Illinois two-piece led by guitarist-vocalist Scott Lucas since 1990, known for an unconventional setup in which Lucas covers both guitar and bass parts simultaneously. Local H's 1996 album As Good As Dead and its hit "Bound for the Floor" made the band a fixture of '90s alternative rock alongside acts like Toadies. Together the two bands represent a genuine slice of 1990s rock radio, both still touring on catalogs built around riff-driven, mid-tempo alternative rock that has aged into classic-rock territory for a generation of fans.
