The Wizard of Oz at Sphere

This immersive 4D presentation brings the 1939 MGM classic to the Las Vegas venue's vast 160,000-square-foot, 16K screen, with visuals expanded using artificial intelligence and a score re-recorded with an 80-piece orchestra. Guests enter through a sepia-toned Kansas-inspired atrium before taking their seats for a film that includes wind, fog, falling apples, snow, pyrotechnics, and life-size flying monkeys.

The experience is part of the venue's "Sphere Experience" series, following earlier screenings of Postcard from Earth and V-U2. After the film, the atrium transforms into the Emerald City, where visitors can interact with a life-size replica of the Wizard's throne room and his ghostly green head.
