The Georgian National Ballet Sukhishvili brings its blend of traditional dance and theatrical spectacle to Antwerp. Founded in 1945 by Iliko Sukhishvili and Nino Ramishvili, the company has performed at venues including La Scala and the Metropolitan Opera. Audiences can expect a showcase of Georgian folk dance, with male dancers executing leaps and female dancers gliding across the stage in long skirts, a style that inspired the Daleks in Doctor Who.

The company, now led by the founders' son Tengiz Sukhishvili, features seventy dancers and a small orchestra. The performance highlights Georgian choreography, accompanied by traditional music and costumes designed by Simon Virsaladze.
