The Sofia Marathon is an annual road marathon hosted by Sofia, Bulgaria, since 1983, categorized as a Bronze Label Road Race by World Athletics. The race weekend includes a half marathon, a 10K race, and a 3 km fun run, offering options for runners of all levels.

The course begins and ends on Battenberg Square, in front of the National Art Gallery, and consists of two loops. Runners pass landmarks such as Lions' Bridge, St Nedelya Church, the Court House on Vitosha Boulevard, Sofia University, and Alexander Nevsky Cathedral before returning to the finish.

With a history dating back to 1983, the Sofia Marathon has grown into a key event on Bulgaria's running calendar. The 2020 edition was notable for taking place during the coronavirus pandemic, and the race has seen its share of dramatic moments, including a disqualification of winners due to doping violations.
