European Mobility Week in Barcelona

Barcelona joins the European Mobility Week with a citywide programme of activities that invite residents and visitors to explore the services and infrastructure behind urban mobility. The week fills all districts with talks, presentations, promotional activities, and workshops, all organised in collaboration with the city's main transport operators.

A highlight is the open-door days at public transport facilities, offering free guided visits to places normally closed to the public. Visitors can discover the TRAM depots, the RENFE commuter rail management centre, the Bicing operations centre, the Guardia Urbana stables, and unique spaces like the Cuca de Llum at Tibidabo or the Glòries park. These visits include demonstrations and immersive experiences.

With over 80% of trips in Barcelona already made by sustainable modes, the week underscores the city's commitment to reducing private car use and promoting walking, cycling, and public transport. It's a chance to see behind the scenes of the systems that keep the city moving.
