On a September Saturday, La Escocesa throws open its doors for Tallers Oberts, a free public day that turns the former factory into an open studio. Visitors can wander through the resident artists' workspaces, watch creative processes unfold, and join guided tours in Catalan or Spanish. The day also includes a dedicated accessible tour for the diska community, with sign language interpretation and sensory-friendly spaces.
As evening falls, the industrial setting shifts into a celebration. The night brings a DJ set from Bonbonribbon69, followed by Djane Karma, plus a ritual performance with Muerte a la Norma and the burning of the capgros. Food stalls offer vegan and gluten-free options, and a bar service supports earthquake relief for La Guaira, Venezuela. It's a rare chance to experience art, community, and nightlife in one of Barcelona's creative hubs.
