In the intimate auditorium of the Biblioteca de Castilla y León, the Compañía Rita Clara presents *Cantos a Selene*, a stage work that fuses the expressive force of flamenco dance with the evocative power of the spoken word. The piece invokes the moon as a witness to human dreams and passions, drawing on verses from poets such as Homer, Lorca, Petrarca, and Cernuda. Attendees can expect a dialogue between dance and literature, where each gesture and word tells a story, accompanied by live music.
The cast brings together bailaora and cantaora Rita Clara as Selene, bailaor Marcos Rodríguez as the Human, rapsoda and singer Juan J. Ramírez as the Poet, and flamenco guitarist Jesús Rodríguez. This fusion of poetry, flamenco, and live music creates an enveloping and intimate atmosphere, designed to move and transport the audience to a magical universe. The event is part of the BiblioEscena series and is aimed at adults, offering a unique cultural evening in the heart of Valladolid.
