Artes en el Retiro is a guided itinerary through Madrid's Buen Retiro Park, revealing the diverse artistic expressions that have flourished in these historic gardens. Participants explore works spanning sculpture, prose, poetry, music, and architecture, each represented by a notable figure: Ricardo Bellver's sculpture, Benito Pérez Galdós's prose, Ramón de Campoamor's poetry, Farinelli's music, and Ricardo Velázquez's architecture.
The walk is designed for adults and lasts approximately two hours, offering a curated glimpse into the park's role as a hub for patronage and creativity. Beyond the artworks, the Retiro itself is a UNESCO World Heritage site, with a rich history dating back to the 17th century when it served as a royal retreat. Attendees can expect a leisurely, educational stroll through one of Madrid's most beloved green spaces.
