O Kwarteto en Arganzuela

O Kwarteto brings the sounds of Brazil to Madrid with a string quartet performance that reimagines popular Brazilian music. The all-female ensemble, founded in New York in 2017 and based in Madrid since 2020, offers original arrangements that span chorinho, samba, MPB, and forró, along with more contemporary pieces and original compositions. The group's work highlights the meeting between rooted musical culture and the classical string quartet tradition.

Set in the cultural space of Matadero Madrid, this concert invites audiences on a musical journey through different styles of Brazilian popular music, performed with the warmth and intimacy of a chamber setting.
