Anja Lechner and Pablo Márquez bring their long-standing duo to the Philharmonie de Paris for a concert exploring contemporary repertoire for cello and guitar. Over the past twenty years, the pair has developed a unique sound, commissioning new works from composers with diverse cultural backgrounds.
The programme features pieces by Egberto Gismonti (Brazilian, partly trained in France), Konstantia Gourzi (Greek, based in Germany), Oscar Strasnoy (French-Argentinian), Zad Moultaka (French-Lebanese), and Golfam Khayam (Iranian). Their compositions bridge Middle Eastern and Western traditions, offering a rich, cross-cultural musical experience.
