This two-day workshop in Paris focuses on the essential craft of printmaking, often overlooked in the creation of an etching. Participants will explore key aspects of the printing process, including paper and ink selection, wiping, and press adjustment, while working with various engraving techniques such as drypoint, burin, mezzotint, etching, and aquatint.

Attendees bring their own engraved plates to produce high-quality proofs under the guidance of instructor Thomas Fouque. The workshop also covers advanced techniques like chine collé, à la poupée inking, and multi-plate printing, providing a comprehensive foundation for achieving prints that faithfully reflect the original plate.

With a limited group of eight participants, the course offers personalized instruction and hands-on practice. The pedagogical approach includes demonstrations, participant practice, and corrective feedback to refine technique.
