Summer Camp 2026 at Bibliothèque Assia Djebar

The Bibliothèque Assia Djebar in Paris's 20th arrondissement transforms into a lively summer hub for its fourth edition of Summer Camp, running from early July through the end of August. This free, family-friendly program invites children, teens, and adults to enjoy a mix of games, reading, and creative workshops in a festive atmosphere.

Highlights include themed evening events like the Club Assia vacation party with dancing and carnival games, board game nights, and a storytelling evening at the Cabane Davout garden. Saturday afternoons feature hands-on activities such as making slime, paper airplanes, customizing pareos inspired by Matisse, and crafting flower crowns. Sports fans can compete in the neighborhood Djeby-foot World Cup or join video game tournaments on Stickbold and Instant Sports Summer Game.

The library also ventures beyond its walls, setting up a pop-up reading and play space at Station Cosmos in the 12th arrondissement, and participating in the Essentiels festival at Square Séverine with a reading and games break between performances. All events are free, with some requiring advance registration.
