Acontece Camões: Poetry and Theater in Lisbon

Acontece Camões is a theatrical performance that gives voice to the epic and lyrical works of Luís de Camões, alongside contemporary poets who have engaged with his legacy. The show features readings from poets such as Jorge de Sena, Eugénio de Andrade, Sophia de Melo Breyner, Miguel Torga, Guerra Junqueiro, José Saramago, Manuel Alegre, Jorge Sousa Braga, and Ernesto Melo e Castro.

Performed by Paulo Filipe and guests, the production takes place at Teatro Taborda, a historic venue in Lisbon's Costa do Castelo. The atmosphere is intimate and literary, blending classical and modern Portuguese poetry into a single narrative.
