Cordel is a musical project born from the collaboration between singer-songwriters Edu Mundo and João Pires, weaving together Portuguese folk music with Lusophone sonic heritages. The duo reinvents traditional forms like chula, vira, fado, and marcha popular, blending them with African and Brazilian rhythms in original compositions.

Their latest album, *Volume II*, released in May 2025, features ten original tracks and a special appearance by Salvador Sobral on the song "Nau Frágil." The soundscape draws from influences spanning Camões to Manoel de Barros, Fausto to José Mário Branco, and Tom Jobim to Chico Buarque, among others.

On November 4, Cordel performs live at Auditório do Liceu Camões, offering an evening of poetic dialogue between melodies, words, and affective geographies that celebrate orality, memory, and sharing.
