Héritage: A Mother-Son Story on Stage in Lisbon

In *Héritage*, Belgian director Cédric Eeckhout turns the spotlight on his own mother, Jo Libertiaux, born in 1945. The play weaves her personal story of independence in a male-dominated world with broader themes of female emancipation and socio-political history. Eeckhout both directs and performs alongside Libertiaux and Pauline Sikirdji, creating an intimate yet universal portrait.

The production, staged at the Centro Cultural de Belém, is a co-creation with Théâtre de Liège.
