The Greyboy Allstars, a soul-jazz collective from San Diego, bring their sound to The Neptune in Seattle’s University District. The group first formed as a backing band for DJ Greyboy, and their lineup spans saxophone, keyboards, guitar, bass, and drums.
Attendees can expect a performance from a band with a long catalog. The current members include saxophonist Karl Denson, keyboardist Robert Walter, guitarist Mike Andrews, bassist Chris Stillwell, and drummer Aaron Redfield. Their recordings include West Coast Boogaloo, A Town Called Earth, and Como De Allstars, and they have also contributed music to film soundtracks such as Zero Effect and Second Act.
The Neptune sits at 1303 Northeast 45th Street in the University District. There is no elevator, so balcony access is by stairs or ramp, and every attendee needs a ticket regardless of age.
