Drawing on the traditional jazz heritage of New Orleans, the Hot 8 Brass Band infuses their music with funk, hip hop, rap, and local 'bounce' styles. The collective won a Grammy in 2022 for their feature on Jon Batiste's Album of the Year, following a previous nomination for Best Regional Roots Album. They have performed with artists like Jon Batiste, Blind Boys of Alabama, Basement Jaxx, and Alice Russell, and supported Mos Def, Lauryn Hill, and Mary J Blige.
The concert takes place at Howlin' Wolf, located at 907 South Peters in New Orleans' Warehouse District. The intimate venue sets the stage for an energetic brass band performance. The show is for attendees aged 18 and over.

Hot 8 Brass Band
The Hot 8 Brass Band is a New Orleans–based brass band which blends hip-hop, jazz and funk styles with traditional New Orleans brass sounds. It was formed by Bennie Pete, Jerome Jones, and Harry Cook in 1995. Two earlier bands merged, the Looney Tunes Brass Band and the High Steppers Brass Band.
