Black Moth Super Rainbow brings their signature blend of neon nostalgia and synth-pop wizardry to San Diego's Music Box, joined by fellow Pennsylvania act Giant Day. The band, now two decades into their career, is touring behind their seventh album *Soft New Magic Dream*, a collection of freaky love songs and downtempo funk that balances sugar-kinked romance with their distinctive analog production.

Giant Day, the duo of Derek Almstead and Emily Growden, released their second album *Alarm* in 2025 on Elephant 6 Recording Company. Their sound, described as darker than the lysergic pop associated with their former Athens home, emerged from their relocation to a rural Pennsylvania farm where they converted horse stables into a studio. The evening promises a journey through both acts' unique sonic landscapes, from BMSR's candied synth melodies to Giant Day's urgent, paranoid throb.
