Cabanijazz Project: Music of Poncho Sanchez & Cal Tjader

Cabanijazz Project brings the music of two Latin jazz icons to Feinstein's at The Nikko in San Francisco. Led by Grammy-winning conguero and bandleader Javier Cabanillas, the ensemble celebrates the legacy of conguero Poncho Sanchez and vibraphonist Cal Tjader, with special guest Francisco Torres on trombone. Expect vibrant Afro-Cuban rhythms, soulful melodies, and high-energy performances from an all-star lineup of Bay Area musicians.

The evening honors the spirit and passion that made Sanchez and Tjader international legends, blending sizzling percussion with soaring vibraphone lines. Cabanillas, a celebrated performer and educator, has served as Principal Percussionist for the New York musical GODDESS and performed with the San Francisco Symphony's Adventures in Music education program.
