Seventeen years into a career marked by restless evolution, Citizen brings their dynamic sound to Thalia Hall. The band—vocalist Mat Kerekes, guitarist Nick Hamm, bassist Eric Hamm, Mason Mercer, and Ben Russin—has never made the same album twice, moving through emo, post-hardcore, alternative, and indie pop. Their latest record, *Halcyon Blues*, is a confident culmination of all that's come before, weaving together elements from across their catalog.
Joining them are fellow Toledo acts Hotline TNT and Rocket, promising a night of genre-defying rock music. Known for selling out shows globally while maintaining an underdog spirit, Citizen's commitment to creative growth has earned them a devoted following. The show at Thalia Hall offers a chance to witness a band that has outlasted many of their 2010s peers by simply following their own path.
