Jason Marsalis Trio Excursions

Jason Marsalis, the youngest son of jazz patriarch Ellis Marsalis Jr., brings his trio to Snug Harbor Jazz Bistro for an intimate evening of swinging jazz. Known for his drumming and vibraphone work, Marsalis leads a trio featuring saxophonist Derek Douget and bassist Amina Scott. The Marsalis family, honored with the NEA Jazz Masters Award in 2011, has been called "America's First Family of Jazz," and Jason's own 2018 release "Melody Reimagined" topped the Billboard jazz chart.

Set in the heart of New Orleans' Frenchmen Street, Snug Harbor offers a cozy music room where the focus is on the music. Attendees can enjoy full dinner service in the adjacent dining room before the show, with the option to reserve a table in advance. Inside the music room, only charcuterie, cocktails, and soft drinks are served, keeping the atmosphere quiet and intimate.
