L7 in Cleveland

L7 is an American rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1985, frequently cited as a foundational influence on the 1990s riot grrrl and grunge scenes even as the band itself has resisted being defined purely by that political framing. Their breakthrough came with 1992's Bricks Are Heavy, featuring the single "Pretend We're Dead," a slacker-protest anthem written by guitarist Donita Sparks that became the band's best-known song.
