Laura Veirs with Karl Blau at Cafe Du Nord

Portland singer-songwriter Laura Veirs brings her deeply personal indie folk to Cafe Du Nord, joined by collaborator Karl Blau. Veirs recently completed Temple Songs, her first fully self-produced album, recorded in her backyard 'Temple of Bloom' studio. Embracing the Japanese concept of wabi-sabi, she left in ambient sounds and imperfections, creating an intimate, organic sound.
