Riff Wood at The Independent

Riff Wood, a rock band from Davis County, Utah, brings their high-energy show to The Independent in San Francisco. The trio—Carson Groves, Hyrum Russon, and Asher "Shredder" Winegar—have been friends since age 11 and won the Utah Battle of the Bands as 9th graders. They are now independently producing their debut album 'Tough Luck' and have added live bassist Isaac Dabb to their lineup.

Opening the night are The Cherry Bombs, a San Diego–based band of three teenage musicians—Sammie, Bella, and Evelyn—who blend rock, pop, and alternative music. With a fully collaborative approach to vocals and songwriting, they've built a strong online following, including over 520K TikTok followers. Their youthful energy and authentic sound make them a rising act in the independent music scene.
