Tab Benoit brings his Louisiana-rooted blues to Columbus for a night of Delta-flavored guitar work. A longtime presence on the Baton Rouge and New Orleans club scene, Benoit is known for writing his own songs and performing them with a 1972 Fender Telecaster Thinline. His playing draws on a range of traditional blues styles, with a particular focus on the Delta sound.
That deep Louisiana connection runs through his career. Benoit is the founder of Voice of the Wetlands, an organization devoted to raising awareness of coastal wetland loss, and he has recorded with a wide circle of roots-music collaborators.
