The Wizard of Oz at Sphere

Step into the Land of Oz like never before at Sphere Las Vegas, where the beloved 1939 musical fantasy film has been transformed into a 4D immersive experience. The 160,000-square-foot, 16K-resolution video screen envelops the audience, while AI-enhanced visuals and a re-recorded 80-piece orchestral score bring new life to the classic story. Multi-sensory effects—including wind, fog, falling snow, and even life-size flying monkeys using UAV technology—make every scene tangible.

Before the show, the atrium is designed as sepia-toned Kansas, featuring replicas of Professor Marvel's cart and the Wizard's hot air balloon, plus displays of original Oz books and ruby slippers from Debbie Reynolds' collection. After the film, the atrium transforms into the Emerald City, where guests can interact with a life-sized replica of the Wizard's throne room. This is the third film in the Sphere Experience program, following Postcard from Earth and V-U2.
