The Tour Championship is the culminating event of the PGA Tour's FedEx Cup Playoffs, bringing together the top 30 golfers of the season at historic East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta. Since 2025, all players start at even-par, ensuring that the lowest scorer wins both the tournament and the FedEx Cup. The atmosphere is electric as the best in the world compete for a $40 million purse, with $10 million going to the champion.
The event also offers a Masters invitation to all 30 qualifiers and features the prestigious Calamity Jane trophy, a silver replica of Bobby Jones's putter. With the reversal of nines in 2016, spectators enjoy a dramatic finish on the par-5 18th hole.
