El Hechizo del Dragón: Puppet Show in Retiro Park

In this family-friendly puppet show, a dragon living in the palm grove around the medieval walled city of Elche is furious about expansion plans that threaten the historic orchards. To protect his natural kingdom, he kidnaps children and turns them into palm tree spirits. Only a hero can defeat the dragon, but must choose between the sword or the message of a mysterious parchment.

The performance lasts 50 minutes and is recommended for children aged 6 and up. It takes place at the Teatro de Títeres de El Retiro, a charming puppet theater in Madrid's iconic Retiro Park. The show is presented by La Carreta Teatro, a company founded in 1985 that has focused on puppetry ever since.

Free tickets must be downloaded in advance, with a maximum of four per user. Children need their own ticket regardless of age. In case of bad weather, the show may be cancelled without notice.
