Cemitérios de Lisboa – Percursos Guiados

Explore Lisbon's cemeteries as open-air museums of memory, history, and art. These guided tours reveal the cultural heritage preserved in every tomb, sculpture, and architectural detail, offering unique experiences that connect past and present.

On July 4, join Licínio Fidalgo at Cemitério dos Prazeres to learn about the cemetery's history, its sculptural and symbolic tombs, and the personalities honored there, all while enjoying a panoramic view over the Vale de Alcântara and the Tagus Bridge. On July 17, André Ferreira (MYTHOS) leads a mythological tour at Cemitério do Alto de São João, tracing narratives from the Parcae (goddesses of fate) to the figure of Fame, showing how funerary art transforms the cemetery into a space of imagination and symbolic evocation.

Both tours are free but require advance registration. Each session is limited to 30 participants, ensuring an intimate and insightful experience.
