Tatiana Macedo: Radical Gestures

Tatiana Macedo presents *Radical Gestures*, the first of two acts at Rialto6 gallery in Lisbon. The exhibition is a manifesto against a fast-paced world of captivating images for immediate consumption, apathy, and forced capitalist production. Macedo demands time and attention from viewers, inviting them to revisit the work repeatedly, much like an athlete or dancer repeating a movement to exhaustion.

The works are alive and in constant transformation, countering the commodified formula of artistic production. Macedo films and transfigures 'mundane' situations in an experimental, non-fictional way, turning them into a fiction of the real. Every decision—filming, editing—is critical, sensitive, and political, involving power relations, perception, attraction, and thought. When the lights go out, no object remains, only the device and memory impregnated in the body.

The exhibition runs from July 2 to October 3, 2026, with hours from 2pm to 7:30pm, Thursday through Saturday. It is a rigorous exercise in montage, conflict, seduction, and hypnosis, revealing as much as it omits.
