Derek Hough is an American dancer, choreographer, actor and television personality born May 17, 1985. At age twelve his parents sent him to London, where he trained for a decade with coaches Corky and Shirley Ballas at the Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts while competing internationally in ballroom and Latin dance.

Acerca de Derek Hough

Hough became known to television audiences as a professional dancer on Dancing with the Stars from 2007 to 2016, winning the competition a record six times with different partners, and returned to the franchise as a judge starting in 2020. He also judged World of Dance from 2017 to 2020. His choreography has earned him fourteen Primetime Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Choreography, with four wins.

Beyond television, Hough has performed in stage productions including Footloose: The Musical in London's West End in 2006 and Burn the Floor on Broadway in 2010. With his sister Julianne Hough, he co-created and toured the live dance show Move Live on Tour in 2014, 2015 and 2017, presenting choreographed routines set to popular music.
