Jack Dee is an English stand-up comedian who began performing at open-mic nights at the Comedy Store in London in 1988 and won the British Comedy Award for Best Stage Newcomer in 1991.

He co-wrote and starred in the sitcom Lead Balloon as the perpetually irritable Rick Spleen, and hosted the sketch show The Jack Dee Show in the early 1990s. He has chaired BBC Radio 4's I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue since 2009 and won the first series of Celebrity Big Brother in 2001.

His comedy relies on a deadpan, sardonic delivery, turning marriage, family and the small irritations of everyday life into material rather than topical satire.
