Johnny Marr
Johnny Marr made his name as guitarist and co-songwriter of The Smiths, whose four albums in the 1980s built his reputation for jangling, melodic guitar work. After the band split in 1987, he moved between groups including The Pretenders, The The, Electronic, Modest Mouse and The Cribs, alongside session work for artists such as Talking Heads, Bryan Ferry and the Pet Shop Boys.

He began releasing solo albums in 2013 with The Messenger, followed by Playland, Call the Comet and Fever Dreams Pts 1-4. The BBC ranked him among the best guitarists of the past thirty years, and his live sets typically mix solo material with songs from across his career.
