Michael Shannon & Jason Narducy
Michael Shannon and Jason Narducy front a touring live band dedicated to performing full R.E.M. albums in concert. Shannon is an Academy Award– and Tony Award–nominated actor known for films including Take Shelter and The Iceman, who has also worked as a musician throughout his career, including fronting the indie-rock band Corporal. Narducy is an indie-rock guitarist and bassist recognized for his work with Bob Mould, Superchunk and Sunny Day Real Estate.

Acerca de Michael Shannon & Jason Narducy
The two met in Chicago and began collaborating on one-off tribute concerts honoring artists including Neil Young, Bob Dylan, T. Rex and the Cars. Their R.E.M. project began in 2023 with a one-time performance of the band's 1983 debut album Murmur; audience demand turned the concept into an annual tour, with the pair performing Fables of the Reconstruction in 2024 and Life's Rich Pageant in 2026 for that album's 40th anniversary.
The touring band includes Wilco bassist John Stirratt, drummer Jon Wurster, guitarist Dag Juhlin and keyboardist Vijay Tellis-Nayak. Each performance opens with the featured album played in full before moving into other R.E.M. songs from across the band's catalog. R.E.M. members have made guest appearances at select shows, including bassist Mike Mills and guitarist Peter Buck in Athens, Georgia, and singer Michael Stipe at a performance in Brooklyn.
